About

What would cause a relatively normal, middle aged father of two to take up balloon art?  Read on...

How it all began

It was my older daughter's fifth birthday, and we were having a party at a park.  My wife had bought a little balloon making kit with an air pump, a handful of balloons, and some instructions.  I grudgingly took on the job of learning to use the stuff for the party!  I went through most of the balloons practicing, so I had to  buy a bag of balloons from a local magic shop.  Despite the pump breaking, my lack of knowledge and skill, and moving extremely slowly, I had a blast and so did the kids! They loved watching that one long balloon transform into a little animal.  I was hooked!

Sporadically, I would buy more balloons and try more designs. I did more family parties, with a lot more speed and success.  Before long, people started asking me to twist balloons at their parties, festivals and events.  I still do the family parties, of course (paid in hugs), but I now provide my services in the community wherever great balloon art is desired!

What to Expect at Your Party

When you have the balloon man for your party, expect a lot of balloon action!  I do not dress as a clown, but I still like to joke and be silly with the kids as I make balloons!  Depending on the number of people wanting balloons, and the amount of time I am booked for, you can expect two or more balloon creations per child.  I prefer to make multi-balloon, colorful creations.  However, if your event requires speed, I can zap out simple balloon dogs and swords with ease!
